That was why, when invited by Dr. Tag Alshehri, a lecturer from Monash University Malaysia’s School of Information Technology (IT), to give a short industry talk to the students, Frank Tan, Global Business Director at INFOPRO, did not hesitate to accept the invitation. Monash University is a prestigious university in the top 50 global rankings.
Frank Tan, recently visited Monash University Malaysia to share his extensive career experience with the Software Engineering students, where he delivered an insightful guest lecture aimed at guiding students through their career paths in the ever-evolving IT industry.
During the session, Tan recounted his early days in the tech sector to his current leadership role at INFOPRO, a company renowned for delivering future-ready banking solutions. He provided students with valuable insights on navigating the challenges of the industry, such as the need to address business and market needs, and the importance of staying relevant by keeping up with emerging technologies and trends.
Highlighting the significance of practical experience, Tan encouraged students to understand the business aspects of the various industries, so that they can one day provide impactful real-world tech solutions.
Dr. Alshehri expressed her gratitude for Tan’s participation, noting how valuable it is for students to hear firsthand experiences from industry practitioners.
