September has been an unusual month for INFOPRO. Within a few weeks, our work received two recognitions from two very different industry platforms. At the WITSA Global AI Awards 2026 in Taipei, INFOPRO was named the winner of the inaugural WITSA Global AI Award for Data 2026 for our SYNERGi Credit Intelligence Platform. Back in Malaysia, we received the Artificial Intelligence – Digital Banking award at the PIKOM Digital Excellence Awards 2026.

“The WITSA Global AI Awards are WITSA’s inaugural global recognition dedicated to responsible, impactful, and scalable AI, recognizing organizations advancing AI across seven pillars of AI excellence, including Data, Use Cases, Infrastructure, Talent, Public Policy and Investments. For INFOPRO, the recognition came under the Data pillar for SYNERGi Credit Intelligence Suite.”
Banking is one of the most highly regulated industries, with regulatory and governance requirements varying across jurisdictions. That is why SYNERGi is built with comprehensive AI governance capabilities, helping financial institutions manage AI responsibly and confidently as they scale across markets.
This recognition is particularly meaningful in the context of credit lending, where data sits at the centre of documentation, assessment, decision-making and portfolio management. The quality and governance of that data have a direct bearing on how intelligence can be applied within the lending business. SYNERGi Credit Intelligence is a suite of intelligent capabilities designed specifically to optimise the credit lending business.

“The second recognition came at the PIKOM Digital Excellence Awards 2026, where INFOPRO received the Artificial Intelligence – Digital Banking award.”
Presented by PIKOM, the National Tech Association of Malaysia, the award recognises our work in harnessing AI in digital banking, empowering financial institutions to enhance their services and grow their business. PIKOM’s recognition places the work firmly within the digital banking environment that INFOPRO has been part of for four decades. It reflects the application of technology within an industry where new capabilities must work alongside established banking systems, processes, regulations and commercial priorities.
WITSA recognised SYNERGi’s contribution under its global Data pillar, within a programme focused on responsible, impactful and scalable AI. PIKOM recognised INFOPRO’s work specifically within Artificial Intelligence – Digital Banking.
Where the Two Come Together: SYNERGi Credit Intelligence
At the centre of the WITSA recognition is SYNERGi Credit Intelligence, a suite of intelligent capabilities designed specifically around the credit lending business. Credit processes involve much more than the final approval decision. SYNERGi Credit Intelligence brings together four specialised capabilities across this process.
- APT-Doc delivers Document Intelligence, working with information contained within lending documentation.
- APT-Decision delivers Decision Intelligence, supporting the credit decision process.
- APT-Scouter provides External Risk Intelligence, particularly valuable for high-value and high-risk business loans where information beyond the bank’s existing records can provide additional context.
- APT-Insight delivers Portfolio Intelligence, serving as a business profitability navigator to uncover opportunities and challenges across the credit business.
Together, these capabilities help financial institutions optimise sales, accelerate processing and strengthen credit quality while supporting the broader lending business.
Designed for the Systems Banks Already Have
One consideration becomes very practical when technology moves from a demonstration into a banking environment: existing infrastructure. Financial institutions have invested heavily in their core systems, lending platforms, data environments and operational processes. Those investments continue to matter.
SYNERGi is designed to enhance and integrate with existing IT infrastructure, not replace it, allowing financial institutions to adopt AI while building on the systems and investments they already have. That approach also matters when institutions operate across multiple jurisdictions, where governance and regulatory expectations can differ.
Looking Towards 2027
Receiving two awards in one month has given us a useful opportunity to look at the direction of the work. As financial institutions plan for 2027, those priorities will be shaped by the individual needs of each organisation.
